Introducing Lisa Kwong, President Of Public Realm

Written by: Dave Forde

Welcome to the newest episode of our New Kids On The Block series, where we explore recently launched agencies. In this episode, we sit down with Lisa Kwong from Public/Realm, who shares some of the highlights from her journey so far.

Where does the name Public/Realm come from?

Lisa - We wanted a name that could nod at the work we do: the public realm is the intersection of culture and community; a space for connection and conversation, where brands don’t just exist—they live, breathe, and interact with the audience around them.

What is your agency’s niche or what makes your offering stand apart from others?

Lisa - It’s not exactly a niche, but I’ve been in PR long enough to feel bored of the same old, same old and I’m sure there are brands who feel the same. We approach every client brief like a problem to solve but can’t promise that we’ll always deliver a conventional solution. So, if you’re looking to try something new, know that Public/Realm is a partner who is willing to colour outside the lines with you.

As a new agency, what is something Public/Realm brings to the table a brand might not get from a larger agency?

Lisa - Speaking of where we’re at right now, Public/Realm is a clean slate for any brand looking for a fresh start with a partner who brings the big agency expertise and global PR mindset, in a more intimate and collaborative environment. And the bonus: we offer seamless access to full IAT services under one roof through our relationship with Community. Talk about being nimble!
